Holidays with a group of friends
Going on holiday with friends is a great idea in theory, but it’s not always easy to choose a place that suits a variety of budgets and people who might not want to stay for the whole week – or however long you’re planning to go for.
Camping is always a great option as you can get people to bring along their tents and gear, and book the right amount of pitches according to the group size. Camping is definitely one of the cheapest options. It’s a great solution for a cheap holiday when you’re young, but as you move on in life, it may not appeal to everyone in your group of friends. However, that doesn’t mean you should abandon the idea of a camping holiday just yet.
Many holiday parks have now got alternatives to tent pitches – in the form of static caravans for rent and – if you really like your home comforts – holiday lodges. These are often well-equipped holiday homes, with luxuries like en-suite bathrooms and a fully fitted kitchen with all the normal appliances you might have at home. They often have plenty of room in the living area, so that you can all sit and eat dinner together.
What’s more, you get to use all the facilities that you find on most campsites these days – like indoor swimming pools and other sports facilities. There’s often a bar and restaurant attached to the site too, so there’s no need to cook while you’re there if you don’t want to.
Holiday parks are often located in beautiful surroundings. For example, you can find some fantastic locations for Cornwall lodges – either right by the beach, or a little further inland in the beautiful Cornish countryside.
The best idea is to decide on a region of the country that suits all your friends and then start looking for suitable holiday parks in that area. You’ll then be able to narrow down your search and find accommodation and a place to all get together that you all enjoy.
