The Bedford Creative Bank Vault Super Bar

Built in 1926 and designed by Vitzthum, Karl, and Co; this Chicago Bank vault has been converted into a bar, called “The Bedford”. The Bedford is a local kitchen + bar serving up casual quality, located in a historic, landmark bank space. Contemporary American cuisine is elevated to crafted comfort, through German and Southern influences and paired with a carefully concocted cocktail list, craft beers and boutique wine selections.

Inspired by the Supper Club experience of a bygone era, The Bedford puts a modern-day twist on the concept by offering more than just a restaurant. Underground but not exclusive, this Wicker Park outpost offers a full nightlife experience without the formality. Come into the reclaimed landmark bank for a drink or small bite, and end up staying for a full meal, music and more.

Few spots in the world can rival the experience of lunch and libations in an old bank vault. The Bedford’s beautiful bank vault dining room is one of the most luxury place that you can spend your time. More images below.
